Silenced decat?

   Got a Piper full system with middle box fitted to my VTS. Sounds lovely, but I rekon it's a little on the loud side though.
   
   Been thinking and I may look into having a box welded into the decat pipe (providing there's enough length to work with - it's the shorter MK1 pipe) to keep the noise down a little.
   
   Will there be any noticeable loss of performance/ throttle response by adding another box to the system?

   Janspeed sell stainless and mild steel boxed decats. I used to have one of these and it felt good!
   
   I can't see there being a drop in response/acceleration

   Any idea where I can buy one of those boxed decats and how much they are bud?
   
   Failing that, I could always fit the CAT back on and buy the right length Supersprint cat back centre section... refuse to pay £60/ £70 for mild steel though!

   my BTB has 2 boxes in the centre(silencer and expansion chamber or something?) cant call that restrictive!

   Oh right should have read it properly.
   On my old saxo I had a race pipe and piper back box no silences. Loud was not the word lol

   Haha, they do sound great. Much louder on the valver engine - coughs and farts like crazy when downshifting/ lifting off.

    They used to be on a shop on eBay, I can't remember seeing them on a website.
    
    Failing that an exhaust place could make you one up.

    It's the wrong length dude. The Piper system is from a MK1 so my CAT is about an inch too long.

    the company that welded my decat to the magnex centr section are called flavell's not far from me but are pricey charge by the inch of weld not sure if they would make a de-cat though i could get my dad to check for you he knows the guy who owns it

    Aye, it has a decat pipe and a middle box in the centre section. Selling it for something more civilised though as it's a lot louder than expected on the VTS.
