Supersprint with cat for MOT

   Ok, i've already got a supersprint full race system and 4-2-1 manifold. Its on a 2002 VTR so the cat WAS in the manifold but obviously isn't no longer with the 4-2-1 on. MOT is due soon and i'm not faffing around putting the orinigal manifold (cat inside) back on. I'm after a cat that goes underneath the car like a VTS etc.
   
   Can I do this with my supersprint race system. My centre section is the newer version so comes in 2 pieces. I'm fine on buying a new cat, just need to make sure it will match up.
   
   Also...do standard cats join to the centre section via olive clamp or are there some that are sleeve fitment? Ta

   if the centre section is in two pieces i gues you can switch the front pipe with a cat but i'm not 100% sure

   a system on the mk2 normally consists of manifold&cat>downpipe>centre section and backbox.
   
   With an aftermarket with no cat. you can attach a mk1 cat between the manifold and centre section.
   
   and that should work mate

   Yeah I know this, the only problem is, is that all of the pics of mk1 cats have an olive clamp were it joins the centre section. Supersprint use sleeve fixings you see and a U clamp. I'll just buy a 2nd hand OEM exhaust (cat, silenced centre) but use the SS backbox . Should do for the MOT.

   go to a local or small garage they might let you of with the exhaust

   Yup thats what i'm thinking. I will get in touch with the garage I always use as the lad that owns it decats all his cars but they pass there MOT .

   lool ye thats what i do to mine take it to a friends garage and they let me of with the exhuast
