sportex backbox to loud

   i fitted a 3'' sportex backbox and it sounds way to loud, nice but when im in the car all you can hear is the rumble from the backbox is there anything i can do to make it less noisy like maybe sound proof the boot etc or maybe a way of silencing abit?

   I had one on my saxo and i thought it was loud till 3000 rpm and then it was silent.
   
   Is it fitted well? Not any gaps where exhaust gasses could get out?

   Does sound like something is wrong there mate. Is it brand new because if so they are really tinny sounding and loud when they are new until they soot up properly and then as said its a tad loud below 2000rpm but then up to 3500rpm its fine and then you get a nice sporty sound from there all the way to 6250

   I have the 3 inch sportex exhaust and its Fine !

   Forgot to mention when it was brand new it was very loud, but it has gone quite quiet now !

   its second hand from ebay it looks kinda old, i only have a 1.1 with a k&n induction kit & and sounds really chavy lol! but the worst is when i try to listen to some music and all i can hear is the exhaust.
