can you drill the air box, i bought a universal k&n and gess what it doesent fit just my luck
  2. #2
Well if it doesnt fit in the standard box then no becuz if you cut the box then u will let dirt into the throttle body. Otherwise yes u can drill the air box if the filter fits.

it was a open k&n and it didnt fit the carb, so standerd box and filter is going back on,

why dont you send the kit back and buy one for your particular model?

when it comes to saxo's you get what you pay for!

i've learned a few lessons over the years!

Dont cut corners dude - even when it comes to simple things like filters.

This is what I recommend. Drilling the standard airbox is far from a good idea.

I know what you mean becuase i have the same SPi type engine, ive looked inside and there is the filter which is sealed on the top and bottom and if u drilled holes in the side it wouldnt make any differance becuase all the shit wouldnt be able to get in and would just go where all the other shit goes in the bottom of the box? or am i missing somthing?
