bmc at the minute but i have orderd some fibreglass cloth and pipe work and i am going to be making my own. i have been geeking up on pulse length tuning and basic fluid dynamics and it should actually give some sort of gain.

At the moment, I've just got the green cotton on, just need to get some bolts for the enclosure for the raceland as some twat in a garage decided to open it up and not tight the bolts back on.
Green cotton - Sounds good, performance no so good.
Green cotton + raceland enclosed - Sounds good, slightly better performance as it reduces heat soak.

i first had a green cotton, loved the throaty sound but yeah, not so much increase in performance.
Now i have a BMC, better performance but not such a good sound.
Just bought a raceland enclosure with twin cone green cotton hoping for a compromise with noise and performance!
BMC may be up for sale soon!!

Oh and I noticed the green cotton on it's own can get very dirty as opposed to when its in the raceland so another performance loss from there aswell, getting clogged up with dirt too easily! So I'm wanting to put my raceland back on.

ive got a bmc cda on my vtr
i dont really rate it for performance tbh it sounds good without a cold air feed on it though
i did run it on my vts (running newmans ph3 camshafts) and when mapping foun that the bmc was restricting quite a lot of power from the engine and we ended up mapping it without a filter on there

hmmmm interesting....
considering they cost the most and what i always read are rated highly this is certainly news to me mate. i didnt buy mine as such, it came with the vts i flipped
its now on my new vts, but on my vtr i had an open induction kit. sounded the biz but wouldnt have been great for performance with it beign right at the back of the bay

Completely incorrect you will see next to no difference between the viper, bmc or the raceland.

i've got the green cotton with raceland enclosed thanks to pagey. although i have nothing else to compare it to except the standard airbox and i noticed a difference on the way home ffom pagey's not a huge difference but it was noticeable.

K&N Apollo incoming.. I'm yet to see one fitted on a Saxo though.
Will get pics / video online once it's fitted and I've got the exhaust re-attached.
