Had this problem about 12 months.
Sometimes when i try and start my vts i can hear the starter motor spinning but it doesnt engage the flywheel.
2nd attempt(without fail) it will engage and it fires up.
That was until today!!
Tried several times and it just wouldnt engage the flywheel but i could hear the starter motor spinning - like before.
Anyone with any ideas as to what the problem is and how to fix it??
Did a quick search and a few posts have mentioned giving it a gentle "whack" to "unstick it"
I know i prob need a new starter but could do without the expense at the minute tbh.
