Vtr rebuild

   Anyone any idea how much roughly it will cos to have my vtr engine rebuilt. it has a F**kt camshaft just now as well.

   i think qep said a full rebuild the works was £1500 i think

   yeah i broke a head bolt in my 1.1 and could be arsed taking head of to see what needed doing so found an angine at my local breakers for £100 and doing the conversion today and tomoz, what damage ahs been done?? as you might be able to get awaay with a new cam and head if it is just that thats damaged?

   i'm not too sure but cams are a bit pricey and i've saw a few vtr engines going cheap. the car had a constant rattle and the aa guy told me it was my camshaft. so i went to drive it 5 mins up the road to put it in a drive, i got round the corner and herd a clunk n the car cut out. now it wont start so i take it the camshaft has completley gone now.

   just get a replacement engine with the same plug ecu and ur away, u can pick 1 up at a breakers for around £300 - £400
