Killerglass - Glass engine coolant hoses - Group Buy?

  1. #1
I've been making enquiries about getting an upper coolant hose made for my VTR by Killerglass:
    http://www.killerglass.com/

    Examples

This is the upper hose on a Mk1 VTR:

They've quoted me approx $175 inc. LED unit as it's a custom item however I reckon we can negotiate quite a bit if we get a group buy on the go.
I'm just awaiting an e-mail from one of their engineers who wants more dimensions / specifications off me.

If anyone is interested in the hose for the VTR or wants me to ask about the upper VTS hose just let me know.

Im possibly interested pending prices, but 175 bucks sounds a bit steep..still, they look spot on

Yeah it's not exactly cheap but I think it's a pretty funky mod and it's a lil different to the standard engine bay dressing.

Shall send them over more info and negotitate price.

surely they would need to have the said hoses to make a replica for them ? There is no way they could make them by just looking at a photo.

And because it is a bespoke piece i wouldn't be suprised if they added a few dollars to the price

    They do look mint though

Fucking love these, seen them when i was browsing an American site, look awesome!! You have to send them the hose you want doing so they can get it the same size etc IIRC.

Very pricey tbh and would look wank unless the rest of the engine way was sorted aswell.

True true, purely a show piece IMO rest of the bay would have to be immaculate+chrome/LED's etc etc

i think it looks mint! id love it but far to expensive with the crap ive just gone through (hence pull out of last group buy) do not go with tesco car insurance. ive just encountered a £147 charge for this months insurance, a £153 canclation fee and £140 catch up fee (some stupid fee for back dating) all because my insurance broker sent the wrong documnts to claim my no claims discount, oh and forgeting the 2 months upfront payment of £160 for my new insurance... 80 a month, 20 years old, 2 years driving, saxo 1.4 - no points... shite

back to the killer glass, looks mint - gunna get a new engine and rebuild over the winter ready for summer, then sell my shitty furio and get something standard and start again.

not that expensive considering thats like £100, and think how much harder it is to make compared to samco which are quite expensive.
