citroen ax vtr

    hi guys i was thinking of buying a little ax and puttin a VTR engine in it as a project, and changing over all the suspension and brakes, do the VTR engines go in ok without alot of hassle? cheers

    try getting an ax gti from the off has 4 stud betetr brakes and is lot easier to do the engine conversion

    +1 to that, the GTI will feel alot tighter with the VTR engine in.

    mate has ax gti with black top vtr lump in it, little track project, its coming along nicely but he wants a vts in it if he can get one cheap

    How easy would it be to drop a VTS engine into an AX?

    Got a spare one laying around now so could tinker with it at the weekend if i find an AX shell.

    About as hard as fitting a VTR in. Late model engines are a real pain you are best to use a early saxo engine.

    very do able but as ax bit off a ball ache with later lumps, but then its more fun isnt it

    16v in the ax goes well light and fun to drive

    there an AX in fast car last month with a vtr engine fitted with kawasaki ninja carbs so it can be done!

    couple of ax gti with vts/gti lumps in them; pretty damn fast because of the weight

    thats tams axo16v in the evo clip my mate now has that engine in his track saxo
