Hole from engine block > manifold

   Hi everyone, just noticed today that where my exhaust manifold meets my engine block the 3rd port has isnt fully covered and right at the top there is a tiny bit of the hole you can still see. I can't see this being good for the car or emissions as its going straight from the engine to atmosphere.
   
   Would there be any reason for this, or any way for me to sort it? Get a manifold with bigger branches or something?

   is it blowing and making a load of noise?
   
   another standard header should be fine. pick one up from here or scrap yard

   its very very noisy yes, doesn't help that the bottom end of the exhuast is shagged either..
   standard header do you mean manifold?

   you will need a new header and downpipe then, which together make the manifold

   Has it got the right manifold on there? Cant see a standard one wearing a hole out on it.
   
   and btw, the manifold dosent connect to the engine block.

   Right, im obviously thinking completely stupid then.
   i doubt it is the standard one then. So what happens then, does the header meet the downpipe? If i buy just a full new manifold then and header would that do it?

   Be best if you got a pic up tbh. Like i say thogh i cant imagine a standard manifold wearing away to leave a hole there. Does it actually look like its broken or anything? It is a standard one right?

   do you think it could be failed porting jobby on the engine, i.e made the port too big?
   oh, it doesn't look broken either, looks like all the other bits
