i have a posi blue vtr with multi spoke wheels on it and i wondered what my old vtr rims would look like black if i put them back on.

it is just an idea at the moment, the reason i asked was that i cant afford vts rims at the moment and i have aready got vtr rims in the shed from when i bought the car.
i found a picture of a 106 with them and that looks ok.

I'm keeping my VTR rims, well honestly I can't afford to buy others. But my car is decked and it looks hard as nails. Keeps the handling as its was mean't for too.

how do you paint them,do you use primer, paint and then laquer? or do not have to use laquer on non metalic paint?
i might give it a go soon.

I hav'nt done it personally but you would have to sand right down, have them shot blasted preferably and then a couple of coats of paint. Then laquer on top of that.
My mates going to do mine because he works a sprayer in a car firm

strip existing paint finish with paint stripper and sand paper, clean up with sand paper/wire wool, smooth with wet+dry, coat of primer, wet+dry again, primer, paint, laquer.
