   hi i bought a new instrumental panel from ebay with the white dials o them as it was hard for me to do them on my current ones. I boulgh the exact same dials and everything. My car is currently 52000 miles on the current dials. however if i change them to the new instrumntal panel iv'eheard the mlage will be differant, however surely if its te same instrumental panel as the origional exept the dialsare a white background and not blue it should be just a replacement?
   
   Whats the score on this?
   
   i think he said there was 60 odd thousand on his clock but is that custom to his car the dials only show yu the infomation so if i plug them in mine it should show my millage in my car?

   The milage is stored in the clocks, so when you put your new dials in they will change from 52000 to 60000.
   
   Also from what Iv heard millage is also stored in the ECU but does not show up on the dials, (I belive this is used to to confirm the millage via dealers etc but not sure how much truth is in that)

   so how can i show my cars millage on the new dials surely replacementones shouldnt do this?
   
   or will a dealer have to do it?

   Some companies do digital millage correction for about £50 a go, but there is a guy on here that will do it for £35.

   If I was you id make a note in the log book saying something like the speedo broke so replaced dials and note the old milage and the new milage, and maybe photos of each.

   wow thata steap man, doesnt it matter as mouch if its wrong only when it comes to survice, even then they will be able to find out won they?
