I need a smooth boot

   Hi ppl
   
   Has any1 got a silver saxo with a smoothed boot lol i really want 1 and want to know how much it cost them to do and how easy it was to do it would also be easier if someone was selling one and i could buy it off them cheers ppl.

   tbh mate debadging isnt too hard...it basically leaves two small pin holes...whch are easily filled with filler...sprayed...lacquerd....takes a bit of getting used to...practice filling on a piece of scrap metal....see if you can get it right. be careful not to scratch your car when takin the badges off...i had a quote from a local body shop...200 debadged resprayed..paint..labour etc whch isnt to bad...id sooner start to mod engine for 200 though tbh. other thn that..local breakers..ebay mate!!!

   If you just use filler it will eventually crack, the holes need to be welded. Exterior paintwork should always be done by a professional in order to get a good paint match and the work to last the life of the car.

   bull, im not a professional and ive colour matched and sprayed loads of cars bikes etc, just needs knowledge and practice, body shops cost far too much

   Sorry should of said, In my opinion, I mean fair enough if you can do it. But I personally wouldn't dream of trying to do any paint matching on my own car just because I know for a fact It would look rubbish.
   
   But the point I was making was you need to weld up the holes when de badging as filler will just crack.

   do it mate, i had a qoute to have the plate welded in and recess skimmed with filler and then sprayed 250quid
   
   only other thing everyones missed is also price up the relocation of your number plate recess!!!
   
   im currently having a 106 recess moulded in to the rear bumper should look good also you can use the 106s number plate light !!

   if your just wanting to de-badge you can use mesh instead of welding the holes up. just put mesh on the inside of your boot a little bit of filler aswell to hold in place and then do the outside with filler. its the easier way and it lasts. i done this when i de-locked my passenger door and it hasn't cracked.

    dont think it will mate the boot and lights would fit but the lower boot panel where the lock goes is different could be wrong tho
