What tires to Get...

  1. #1
    I am going to be shortly purchasing some pro race 1.2's and am just wondering what tire package to get with them.
    Ordering from rimstyle with the following tire options available;
    195/45r15 Performance Tires (Will obviously be some cheap rubbish they put on)
    195/45r15 Falken ZE912 - £20+
    195/45r15 Yokohama S-Drives - £46+
    195/45r15 Toyo T1R Proxes - £82+
    195/45r15 Toyo PX4 Proxes - £94+
    195/45r15 Nankang NS2 - £20+
    195/45r15 Bridgestone Potenza RE 040 - £50+

    I'm thinking of the S-Drives, but have no previous experience with yoko's, so if any of you guys have had them on, feedback about them would be good
    I've had experience of PX4's on my old corsa but I don't want to be spending £100 more (making the total of wheels and tires £600) as it would chew into my manifold savings.

    Thanks.

    Either the T1Rs or the S-Drives mate, heard good things about the S-Drives although I dont know of anyone that actually runs them.

    If you can get them for a decent price, get Goodyears. Run rings around everything imo, bar 888s, Avons etc

    Goodyear Eagle F1s Ftw can't fault them in wet or dry. A bit tricky in snow

    Ditto. And all tyres are shite in snow lol, but maybe the Eagles are worse than most, I was all over the place last winter. They got cut up to feck though which I wasnt impressed with.

    They wear really well too though, with regular tyre rotation Im making mine last ages and I only get in it to go on spirited drives nowadays.

    Obviously toyo's but thought yoko's were meant to be pretty good.
