fuel pump

   jus had to fit a unlocked ecu to my vts cos i lost the keys. before i fitted it the car would turn over but nothing more, now it turns over and the puel pump its tryin to prime but you can hear it it kind of gargeling.. is it just because its sat for a while its gone a bit still or you think the pumps dead now? oor still ecu?

   has it got fuel in it? how long has it sat for?

   check to see wether the fuel cut off button is depressed or has been touched?

   its sat for about 6 month :O just tryed a know good fuel pump in it and its making the same noise, theres a wee box thing under the ecu thats clicking now though,..?

   that will be the fuel injection relay, try replacing it

   yeah its the fuel pump relay try just unplugging it spray some contact cleaner on the pins and push right back together before you replace it...

   took the relay from the gti and the batter was to dead to try start it , will try it in the morning n hopefully the wee fucker starts
