#2abit chavey for my liking but can look good in the right car
-
#3chavey... haha
some people nowadays dont understand the word CHAVEY!
can looks good if there are items matched to the colour of the neon , i replaced my interior bulb with a blue led 501 and its a little light restrictive so i added the footwell neons to give it the extra light i needed. -
#499% of the people on here will say its chavy but if you want to do it then do it

-
#5I want to do this but i really dont know how to do all the wiring part?
-
#6Depends wen you want them to come on and that, like just when the doors are open or just wen the interior light is on or when the engines running or somply by a switch really... and i like this idea and with the people saying its a bit chavvy... that word seems to get thrown around just for people to be stereotypical about things they dont really like because they were really popular at one point, get where im coming from?Quote:I want to do this but i really dont know how to do all the wiring part?
IMO i think you should do it!
-
#7theres a guide but not 100% where. you need to get a switch, like 99p from b n q or halfords, 12v feed and an earth. the switch wil touch the wires..on..and opposite off. google it mate to find the best way. should come with instructions too
-
#8yea they can look good but they r chavy
-
#9(This is gonna sound like im defending chavs but...), you gotta remember alot of 'Chavs' are young and cant afford to do expensive things to there car... therefore choose to go cheap and cheerful... with neon lights, theyre cheap and wen used well can look good...
-
#10agree
-
#11ive got red bulbs and 2 footwell neons and i love them lol! think they are wicked
main reason i love them is becouse i lost my phone and turned the footwell neons on and it was behind the brake
-
#12Very chavvy........neons

-
#15Can i just say anyone remember this car??
http://www.leftbanker.com/uploaded_i...lub-759055.jpg
And theres some very nice european hatchback like saxos, ive seen with them and it suits them perfectly... admittedly to get them to look nice you cannot hav a sh*tty standard car and whack em on... you need to hav a high quality car thats had many hours and pounds spent on it!... as for interior neons, similarly if the inside looks good, it will suit it (if use the right colour)... SORTED! I WIN XD

#162 or so in a boot build look alright.
-
#17Ive just done it to my silver westie and looks mint imo. At the end of the day its your opinion that counts.
-
#20recently fitted some green L.E.Ds in my footwells that the missuss bought me... fitted a proppa little black switch aswell so it looks like it was there from factory... i'm really pleased with them... and i think its a good way for begginners to learn the basics of wiring on a car
-
#21i agree with rossy boi i have 4 l.e.d's in each foot well and 1 in the centre console pocket and 2 either side just under the rear bottom corner of the door 3 door by the way and some more in the boot i think it is genius that halfords do the l.e.d's good for lighting glove boxes and pockets
-
#22does any one no how to get a wire from the car to the door preferably inside the door as i want to light the pockets in my doors and the bottom of the doors
-
#23Any of you guys got some pics of this?? As i was thinking of soething similar...
-
#24http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/product_...ion-cable.html
Cut the 4 pin molex off, wire it to a switch and run it into the fuse box / battery, job done!
-
#25I wanted to get some white ones and wire them up so they come on when the interior light comes on but didn't figure out how to do it =/
-
#26i always get ded confused with switches?you got ur 12v+ and earth - where bouts in the wiring do u put the switch??
-
#27i have blue neons on my footwells, theyr fun. you can get ones that connect through cigarette lighter
-
#28Some motherfucker disconnected my cig lighter in my car lol so thas a no no for me, but do they look good? Was thinking about gettin some red-duns for my red carQuote:i have blue neons on my footwells, theyr fun. you can get ones that connect through cigarette lighter
-
#29all my leds come from the interior light but i cant find the any thing so i can make the footwell stay on with the door shut or open so the footwells turn on when the doors open and the others lights for the glove box and clocks are wired slightly different
-
#30well said... thats why i do little things.. its just peoples way of doing a small cheeky mod and learning basic wiring at the same time ...Quote:recently fitted some green L.E.Ds in my footwells that the missuss bought me... fitted a proppa little black switch aswell so it looks like it was there from factory... i'm really pleased with them... and i think its a good way for begginners to learn the basics of wiring on a car
