VTS/106 GTi RPM for road speed

   Hi guys just a quick one,
   
   Using a standard 16v box on a 16v lump what kinda revs should I be pulling in 5th gear with a road speed of 60mph?
   
   I'm currently getting around 3000 which seems high to me in 5th? Wondering if the gearbag on the 16v lump I bought is not in fact a 16v box.

   3000 RPM at 60 seems about right to me.

   yer its a pain in the arse, and even worse with my s1 box. earplugs on the motorway ftw

   at about 75 its just below 4k so i'd say its around that

    120 is 6k, plenty of revs left lol
    
    Try an S1 box. 60 is about 4k!

    Yeah spot on, drove a 1.6 16v with a VTR box and that was like 2500. But slower to accelerate.

    defo 60mph in 5th is 3k.
