  1. #1
Hi, anyone can scan and upload in the web a timing disc for saxo VTS (from newman i guess)?

I've the newman cams ph3 to install in my engine but i can not get the timing disc here in portugal, i do not know where to buy it!

Can anyone help me with this?

Best bet would be to ring Newman and ask for the lift at TDC for those cams, then set it to that using a DTI gauge.

Hum...i guess i should take the car to a garage specialist in this kind of engine modification...to make sure everything it's correctly installed.

You could always fit the cams to standard timing (using the locking holes in the original pulleys). Won't idle very well, but will get it running at least until you find a timing disc/ someone handy with a DTI.

    it's easy.

Put them on stock timing. Then, experiment with closing the exhaust cam a small amount of the time until the engine idles correctly. Contrary to established popular belief, I don't agree with moving the inlet cam (just in my experience!).

    Kind regards

PS Best way by far is as above - get DTi gauge and set the lift-at-top dead centre
