  1. #1
hi what do you guys use for the map sensor i see there are 2 bar 2.5 and 3 bar. its a 16 v vts engine.

what bar is the one all ready on the car

    what do they do?

why do you need bigger for turbo cars and were can i get one or what have you used
    thanks

the standard one is one bar, it wont read boost.

What management you using, and what boost are you running.. thats what will matter!

hi the plan is getting the pedietor ecu but till i buy one of them was gonna run it on the standard ecu with bigger injectors boost wize 10 to 12 psi when all fitted but for now low boost till i get the ecu sorted

unless youve got the standard ecu remapped it wont run atall, no way. Not unless you run a 5th injector and mf2 and do it that way.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Saab-900-Turbo...d=p3286.c0.m14

will work for a bar of boost

damn. dont want to really buy the mf2 then latter buy the preadtor. will it run with boost at say a silly 2 psi till i sort the ecu . this turboing side of things is starting to get confusing for me .

dont know how to set low boost
dont know were all the vacum pipes go
thought get bigger injectors would be ok instead of mf2
dont want to get it running and realise the boost is to high
thought i was doing well but think i need to do a lot more reading up

keep your eyes on ebay mate they pop up regularly, 2.5 bar, go for cheap, as for mapping somoetimes you can drive, some trailor, or if you buy a wideband and get the pred you can have it mapped over the internet providing you have a laptop

Not yet, just having to sort out compression currently. Once done, put everything together. give luthor a shout and trailer it down. Got friends with pickups, trailers etc so getting it over to theirs is not a problem, plus he's only about 20miles from me

its miles from me so not sure what to do. wonder if he can send one all ready mapped for a turbo i know it wont be hundred percent but will at least get me to his to fine tune it
