very high clutch

GF's saxo has a very very cery high clutch

you can lift your footalmost off it before you get a biting point, i would say the mast 2 inches of play gets the biting point.

Drives fine just seems a bit to high?

    could this be a problem?

    Thanks all

you should find a nut where the clutch cable is attached (under the bonnet).....if you loosen the nut (anti-clockwise) this should lower the peddle.......i had to adjust mine when i had a new clutch fitted........do 2 turns anti clockwise then see how it is ,,if no differance try 2 more........if the peddle does not do this ...clutch prob on the way out ....hope this helps

random.... hers is a westcoast 90K miles

to check the clutch, go 30mph in 5th put foot to the floor if clutch stays low revs and slowly increases with speed its fine, if the revs go high when i put my footdown then its on its way out?

    Is that correct?

    Thanks

cant find a guide but you cant miss it.....its a long thread with a nut on it connected to the arm.......if you pop the bonnet and ask someone to press the clutch u will see it move!! (its on the right hand side need the air box iirc)

if the clutch is not slipping this should fix it!!
