is it cammed

   i got anoher vts today for fairly good money now the guy that sold it to me said it was cammed but i dont feel much of a pull at high revs there standard pulleys on it i was wondering could it be cammed and just not prop tunned or are they standard...it ticks over a small bit lumpy but as i said it feels standard through the gears...it dont realy bother me if it or isnt i got the car fairly cheap but id like to no that all

   you dont need to run after market pulleys with cams on a 16v motor.
   
   there is a chance it could be a mild cam, not timed well hence the lumpy idle
   best way to check is to whip the covers off and see if there are any markings on the cams. i think it says sport on newman cams i'm unsure about what it may say catcams or other camshafts.

   most cam's run lumpy weather timed properly or not iirc?

   you can get cams to idle like standard even ph3's, they just need timing correctly.

   take the rocker covers off and have a look at the markings on the camshafts.
   
   We cant answer your question on a forum as it would purely be guessing.
   Mine idles rough on first start up in the morning on standard camshafts.

   but yer can only guess these think if you get the covers off and post some pictures might be able to,
   
   also i got PH3 and mine idle very smooth thanks for Andy and the predator ecu!!

    it mite not be cammed at all m8t he might of jst toock the air flow sensor out and that makes the car idiol stupid had the same trick pulled a few times

    If it's not already been said....Dyno Run, cost you about £60 for three runs and you'll know what your car is producing, plus will help if theres any issues.

    took them off yday and they do say sport ml.....so i guees it just needs to be timed up write

    sounds like the ecu could do with a remap or a complete new ecu if they are newmans ph3
