Fuel Cap......

   I bought my car with one of those alloy fuel caps on and I want to change it back to standard. I've got a standard fuel cap to put on but I cant get the barrel off the alloy fuel cap? Whoever has one will know what I mean, it's held in extremely well, any ideas how to get it off?

   When i changed mine i just had to like bend the alloy in the middle, was quite easy with a flat blade screw driver. Maybe post some pics and then could help you.

   Yeh Ill try and get a pic tomorrow. Basically there are loads of metal clips holding the barrel in place and there's no way I'm gonna be able to just force the barrel out.. Ill have a go with a flat end screw driver and see how I go though. Cheers

   It does sound like mine, they just bent quite easy as they are alloy, Then the barrel just pushes in the standard cap as they are plastic. But if you get stuck post a pic.
