ive got a mk2 so cat in downpipe version...basically the problem is that just before the second lambda sensor on the downpipe the exhaust is blowing will this affect performance?? as my car is idling really wierd and using quite a lot of petrol what you all reckon????

#2yes it will affect the performance, and it will get very loud. Will turn on the MIL on the dash eventually as the air getting into the exhaust from the blow hole will affect the lambda sensor readings.
Go on online automotive or the likes and get a new frontpipe cat - they are only about £55 inc vat + postage charge.1 user thanked this post: -

#4getting it welded on the weekend its not a massive hole but it is blowing a lot..might get a new bottom lambda aswell....
