Has anyone done this? What calipers were used? I assume the discs are 266mm but what size spacers are needed? Thanks
4pots under VTR wheels?

#2Depends on the brakes and size discs your using. I had VTR wheels over my old AP racing 4 pots with 270 discs in the past.

#3Most calipers wont fit.
Gav had sorted a set of hispecs that would fit iirc. plus as said some of the proper motorsport ones. -
#4think they did fit under 14's but he need brackets to be made.
im looking at making these fit.

#5Willwood produce a set of 4 pots to fit under the 13inch minilite Mini alloys, surely they could be fitted to saxo brackets????
-
#6probably easier to make custom bracketsQuote:Willwood produce a set of 4 pots to fit under the 13inch minilite Mini alloys, surely they could be fitted to saxo brackets????
the high specs were pretty good that gav had as they were a compact caliper
id look into running a set tbh and being as my car needs new wheels and brakes i did consider 14s
but tbh 15s and proper high specs is a lot more easily available which is better imo as im bound to have something brake so an off the shelf replacement is better than custom -
#7I have seen two sets that fit under the rallye steelies they were comp b4's and pusport ap 4 pots both 270mm i believe off the top of my head.
-
#8How would you go about doing that? Custom brackets? Make 2 setsQuote:think they did fit under 14's but he need brackets to be made.

What size discs?
Im just looking to keep the outside as standard as posible, sleeper/dont want police trouble.
I have 266mm setup at the minute and there great, but Im hoping to be running near 200bhp with nitrous eventually. 4pots needed you think? -
#9Have you got links for the discs you would use? Also need custom brake lines or not?Quote:think they did fit under 14's but he need brackets to be made.

#10If you went for those linked then you would need to find any pug disc in an appropriate then get brackets made to suit
-
#11Something that hasnt been mentioned that is very important is that a lot of these "small" 4 pot calipers dont run dust seals.
Im no expert myself on this, but thats something I wouldnt want on a daily driver (assuming that is the case in this thread). -
#12I think the wilwoods do rush
and just every few weeks pop the wheels off and clean them up -
#13The ones above may have them. But I know the Wilwood Superlite does.
Saying that if you click the link above it even says "no dust seals" on that caliper type. Trust me, Im a doctor.
-
#14I didn't really read it
I clean up my calipers every so often anyway so it wouldn't bother me
I need to clean my wheels with some spirits tbh there a state -
#15Fair enough. I know a lot of people would overlook things like this.
Im guessing the industrial wipes weren't enough Alex haha? -
#16Nah there not it's ghey
6 months of burned on brake dust doesn't come off easily
it's going to ruin my wheels I've realised so decided to get it off lol! -
#18Or just elbow greese guys? Free exercise too
-
#19Jamie last set of rims White spirit cleaned up fine
and rush what is this excersize you speak of?? -
#21i was going to buy some proper wheel cleaner but i cba lol
-
#23be useless to me then
poly e pads are heavy on the dust -
#24Clay bar works wonders on wheels, but like you said its real hard work.
I havent washed my wheels in 4 months+ and am dreading doing them
-
#26Soap and water Im afraid matey. I can assure you they will come out good

We better get back to topic. -
#27yea spose weve derailed this thread quite badly
oops lol
