are these good throtte bodies, as looking t getting at end of month.

or any other recomendations for vts
  2. #2
They are the AT power ones, no ones really tested them on the Tu engines yet but they look really well made.

Either that or get some jenveys.

On a budget you can get some shitty DCOES for naff all
  3. #3
i have about 1200 to spend on them and would prether quality,
having the predator ecu fitted next month,
are the jenveys good bods, and best place to get them from
  4. #4
Jenveys are well respected and well known in the industry, New a decent set of SFs will cost more than the AT power set up.
  5. #5
gmc do say good things about the at ones, and they look like not to much hassle to fit,
also not looking for massive bhp,
  6. #6
You wont get big bhp from bodies alone anyway. OE inlet design isnt shockingly bad, chuck in some cams and you get some nice midrange and drivability though.

The ATPower ones have performed well on ford engines, ran shit on someones clio engine I know, but it seems that AT have been putting more development time into issues and sorting them.

Isnt john doing a group buy on the AT ones atm?
  7. #7
nt sure, will ask him tomoz, i have catcam 708s in, which andy will time in and map with the pred next month, idea is to have tbs by then and go from there, 170 to 180 is my aim
  8. #8
    708s, 170-180 is very hopeful.

160-170 depnding on pistons/head. You can get more with mega £££ but then you might aswell use something wilder
  9. #9
i might go wilder next year for now anywhere between 150 to 170 is fine, i seen a few running jenveys, where would be the best place to start looking at these,
thanks for the help by the way, seen your progress thread, awsome car m8

many places do jenveys, If you have the ecu tell them, dont let them then try and sell you a kit with the omex ecu which ALOT seem to do.

will give them a ring tomorrow see whats what, jenveys seem better option as more people are using them, cheers again m8

Theres many different designs with jenvey. Reason more people use them - ATP bodies have only just gone on sale this month/two so of course there will be less in circulation
  13. #13
ah i see, will have to have a think then, will give john a ring and have a word, someone has gotta try these things aint they, and as u said they do look pretty well made,
and surely the performnce will be on how good they can be mapped with everything else.
quote me if im wrong lol
  14. #14
Erm not quite, get the bodies wrong and you have a massive headache, for eample use ones which cant be set up well, have a naff inlet manifold design, and use the wrong size butterfly for your spec you are in trouble.

The ATs design is meant to flow better than the jenveys.

A few people have used them but no B2B testing has been done on TUs it seems.
  15. #15
ok think i understand, or not lol, so best thing to do will be to speak to the company explaining my spec already and go from there. as a 1000 pound is a big headache if i get it wrong,
  16. #16
no probs, if you ever wanted to go wilder, you could get a JP4 (c2 head for naff all) and some 734s.

Could have a built head and cams for under £750 if careful.

Then bung a set of forgies in your bottom end
  17. #17
will see what runs like when mapped and tb,d now, then go from there, still want it to be pretty driveable and not to much of a handfull lol, will keep updated on what ones i go for after talking to jenvey and john tomorow, and anymore input much appreciated, as pretty blind on the tb, route, but definantly wanna stay na.
