Important! : Engine wont start without revs

   Hi all.. not 100% sure if this is right section so if it isnt please move it for me!
   
   This problem only started yesterday.. when i try and start the engine from cold it wont start unless i give it some revs at the same time, and then it will cut out if i stop reving it.. after a little while its ok..
   
   what could this be?

   faulty water temp is probably a prime suspect in cold starting issues

   any other ideass? tis a pain in the arse
