Thought this may be of use to some of you, shafts are in another auction aswel.

That box is a little confusing. Any one thinking of getting it should ask a lot of questions first.

not being funny but the majority of dreamers on here wouldnt spend 2.5k on a gearbox. rather remove their spare wheel and cage and brrraaappp track/rally car

alot of people on here would favour a rebuilt 1.4box with a nice diff for the money

I know mate iv got an xsi box would never pay that sort of money for a box unless it was a competitive car hillclimb etc.

even a comp car i would think twice. xsi box rebuilt with diff for around £6-800 would leave around 1.8k money better spent else where on a comp car

What are so special about the cup shafts he's selling? what makes them different from standard?
  7. #7
Hes on the moaners club somewhere thats where i found the ebay link!
  8. #8
hes also on rallye reg, i think his username is andym, have a search for his thread on there, theres loads of things left at reasonable prices too

but he lives not too far from where i live, i went to have a look at a few bits he had for sale, cause hes breaking his car

he is a genuine guy though, and has spared no expenses on it tbh

and with the shafts, its just cause they are a diff size to say saxo/106 shafts, but have been strengthened if i remember right from what he was saying

So do you think the shafts would fit a vtr box?

Most of the stuff hes selling has been relisted 2/3 times/ Im surprised no ones bought the struts yet.
  12. #12
yer he has, its just time wasters though i think, i was thinking of his suspension set up, but you need to change things with the struts

you need to put origional saxo/106 hubs on cause hes using diff sized hubs to run the bigger shafts
  13. #13
because his coilovers need work to get them to be of any use
  14. #14
people wont buy the coilovers as they are put off by the fact its not a straight fit.
  15. #15
i think its partly the way he puts it across, like if you buy these you will need to buy these etc etc

and i think that put people off a little too, hes been trying to sell alot of things for months, the smaller things are selling well, but its just things like brakes, sus and the box and shafts hes struggling with i think

Yeh, just need press the saxo ones on.

    Not exactly huge work.

yer i did think that lol im sure there was something else he said needed changing, but i dont think that was big either, i know you will need to change top mount set up, as hes using a 4stud set up so you will need to change that, nothing major though, seemed a good set up though when i was there

i had just bought all my bilstein group n dampers and 175lb faulkner springs a couple weeks before, so i passed on the sus lol
