   Long as your cat's under the car on your Mk2 should not pose any problems. Later Mk2's (late 2000 onwards I think) have cats in downpipe/manifold area.

   yer mine is on the manifold. lol was goin to see if i could de-cat it that way lol would be cheaper then. if u can do it that way?
