just bought a vt kit and want advise...

   i went down to london picked up my nice vt kit,all excited about that was the main hurdle done....
   
   but now i am in a dilemma about whether i should get it painted on the car or off the car?!?
   
   and also if ther is just any general advise that people would give from doing it theirselves?!

   off the car if you can get a good paint match

   on the car then you can fade it in
   you have a mk1 so its old paint maybe faded so it will look odd
   so on the car

   off the car is easier to around it and get a better finish,
   when you get it on though it will be a differnt colour will look much brighter,
   but this dies down after it's been on and see dirt and sunlight,
