question about the TU block

   was just wondering if the 8valve and 16 valve engine use the same block/ short engine. if they do what are the differences in the internals is it just the crank thats different.

   they use the same block but the crank pully is different the dip stick and pistons and the breather is not cut out on the vtr ones rest is same

   so the actual crank its self is the same. and which breather isnt cut out. thinking of converting my 8v engine to 16v. pistons aint a problem because i want to get high compression ones.

   tensioners etc are in different place on vts block i think

   just read that and glad i did need to check them piston oil surply things they looked the same but theres dont ......
   the tenchioner there is all ready a pre drilled and taped hole on a vtr block just not used for the vtr as you said the belts different
