oil pressure sensor

i was wondering if any body knows at what psi does the oil warning light come on at?

also is there a replacement for it that will come get activated at a higher pressure to give me an earlier warning of low oil pressure.

another thing is the red thing in the top right of this picture the fuel cut off switch and is there away to turn it on via a switch in the cabin so i can build oil pressure up before the car actually starts.

not my pic used it as an example hope the owner doent mind.

i ask because its going to be stood for a couple of weeks at a time and i dont want to accelerate wear on the engine.

Oil pressure switch I could not tell you but what I have done in the past is fit a good quality oil pressure gauge. Also helps you see when your oils thinned out and your cars ready to thrash.

Little confused on the next bit but I am guessing you are talking the crash inersha switch. This just cuts in a accident and has nothing to do with oil. To build oil pressure before starting there are a few ways to do it. If you wish the system to be contained by the car your best fitting a electronic oil primer pump. They can also be used as a turbo cool down pump. They can also be combined with a electronic water pump if you wish to run a engine cooling cycle as well.

    PS great tits

but it has somthing to do with fuel.
what id like to do is crank the engine over a few times before i start it to get oil pressure up and oil round the engine as the car is only going to be getting used every couple of weeks and i dont want to cause increased engine wear by starting up on dry bearings.

    p.s there fake.

A sorry I see what you you mean now. Yes you could wire a switch to do this. My old car had a slightly different setup but the fuel pump relay was on a separate switch to the ignition. If your tried to start it with out it on it would just turn over and not fire. Its also a handy security thing if you hide it out the way. It was on a AX so cant tell you how to do it on a Saxo though. Don't know if it will achieve what your after though as the little electric starter motor actually has a immense amount of torque at low speeds, far more then the engine as the same speeds. Really the only way guaranty the safety of the engine is some way of primping the oil before the engine before you turn it over.

    Bummer about the tits
