Drop off bottom hose (below the alternator), If you want to flush engine take out thermostat and replace the housing without thermostat. Get a hose and flush the syetem through from the top hose on rad. From there you can flush the radiator one way and the engine the other way. When water runs clean refit hoses, fill up bleed and run car for few mins. Repeat proceedure then refit thermostat with a new seal and top up with 50% coolant/water. You will need a column of water ie coke bottle etc when bleeding system. Hope this helps (and you are still awake!!).

have a search, theres definatly a how-to on this.

But basically, theres 2 bleed off valves that need to be open when re-filling. So no air gets locked.

Abit of messing about, squeezing pipes, keep adding water, checking if heaters are warm, and checking fan kicks in.

bit more involved than i first thought ,
should take up my afternoon and get me away from this rediculous decorating programme that i'm currently glued to!
where abouts are the bleed valves and thermostat?

Top of radiator, back of engine drivers side behind engine mount and top of thermostat housing.

If you don't know where the thermostat is it's on front of engine where the rad top house goes to.

You can do a quick job but doing it properly is better in the long run, ie flushing because this will do the heater matrix as well etc.

that's great, yeah i'll go down the route of flushing it, can't exactly do any harm looking after it ehh!,
