C20XE's have been to known to make over 300bhp N/A. They are highly tuneable, which is why they are/were widely used in motorsport.
Get a standard xe lump, stick it on carbs and it'll be upto 170bhp.
Mine is an early GTE lump, with no lambda sensors or traction control which makes 156bhp as standard. Mines got autosprint cams, oversize valves and a ported head, again from autosprint, billet flywheel and a remap at Aldon motorsport. Along with the usual breathing mods (PowerPoo zorst, CDA air filter) it made 178.8bhp at the fly @ 6800rpm.
Im running an F16 close ratio box with an LSD. Previous owner ran a 14.2 quarter in it, before the diff was fitted.
I wont be going any further with it though. Its my daily driver and i want to keep it reliable. Dont want to delve into the bottom end really!
If i were to run it on ITB's i am led to believe 200bhp could be achievable. Pretty mental considering it's an N/A and wouldnt cost that much to build.
