engine overheating!!

   . coolin pipe had popped off last week and i got it fixed,75 euro.
   was driving to training last night and in the midst of traffic she ran into the red. had the heating on full but nothing. finally got out of traffic and she started to cool down. any idea what the problem is???
   its not the rad,head gasket.
   
   please help
