anyway to tell if my car has a superchip

  1. #1
Been informed by the previous owner of my VTS that it has a superchip.

Car seems to over fuel so was thinking its maybe this. Are they a plug in thing or flashed onto the ECU.

Was wondering if there was a way to tell if its been done or not and/or if it can be removed.

    Cheers Gavin

they flash the ecu rather than fitting a "chip"

the fact its overfueling is a good sign its been done as superchips dont know there arse from their elbow

only way to tell is to send the ecu to a mapping company and they can tell you

Its an easy enough job to retro fit a standard ECU

superchips fit a board into the ecu from what ive seen. Others (me) reflash the standard chip though
