spraying my dash

im thinking of getting my dash smoothed and sprayed in white. does anyone know anywhere around notts i could get this done or i wouldnt mind tryin it myself? anyone done it before? cheers if nyone can help

hi steve i would spray it a differnt colour that white when the sun shines though the window it will blind you

try something darker than white

give it a go yourself, maybe find an old dash at the scrappy so you can take your time with it and then swap em over??

yeh thats what i was thinking, im not sure whether u can just smooth the plastic or u have to fibreglass though?

fiberglass mate

it would take a lot off time and effort but if done right would look the doggies danggle's

although imp i would have it done professionally unless you knew exactly how to and what you were doing

i think sidesport (chris) has done it before.

You have to sand it right down to get all the texture out of it. Then get it
very smooth, prime it, spray it, lacqure it and then take great care when
putting it back into the car!

yeah i think im gonna go scrappy tomora and try n get hold of a dash as i dont feel cofident to attack my dash i got in now plus means i wont av to drive rnf without one for ages!
