another turbo question

    ive got a t25 shall i get shut and sell it and get this instead
    TURBO GT28 (flange T28)

    wastegate settle at 9psi

    OIL AND WATER COOLED

    0.60 A/R
    TURBINE: .86 A/R
    TRIM: 60
    can support up to 400CV

    i'd stick with the t25 mate, or get a gt25r which is the same but just spools quicker, with the 28 you'll have more lag, i have a 28, and think i'll have more lag than i'll be happy with!

    i have no idea about turboin but cant u just use an anti lag kit ?

    r yeah i forgot you got forgies mate, gt15 are SUPPOSEDLY GOOD for small cars wanting good power but i have no first hand experience with them, just a few friends whove done 1.4 clio conversions etc

    yeh i spend most my time lookin at all the turbo threads i can n lookin at ppls turbo progress blogs, i realy want to turbo my car but i need to get a job first and then ill start sourcing all the parts i need bits at a time close call with your gf lol

    ya was a close call but she like all woman like a bit of boost ....all sorted now ... best bet m8 is buy bits you need but dont do any to car tiil you got all bits i took the engine out to soon . i had a vtr put the 16v in ran it for 4 week then thought fuck it turbo the engine then after i took it out thought shit me this is gonna cost loads to do it wright so i nick the gf car and use that but mines still dead at mo

    lmao my gfwas pissed of when i told her i was rebuilding my car with a turbo conversion, not that she understood what a turbo conversion is, but when explained she got all excited and said " aw ya gunna have a car that sneezes, i wanna car with a cold!"

    haha fair play, wot work do u need to run forged pistons? as if i was guna turbo id get cams pred ecu and forged pistons n wotever needs doin for that to work b4 gettin the turbo bits.

    pred ecu id say shit hot even thow i dont have one yet but heard so many good things ... cams you dont need them just up the booost forged piston rock will take over a 1009 bhp the ones i got . standerd crank will take over 890 so no prob there tu engine is well balanced and pritty good for this only time you will get a prob is if some nob did not torque the rod propperly you could hit 300 bhp on a 16 v with write set up im looking for 145 bhp joking but not a nob that gose around and says ill get this and that bhp ill get what the engine puts out ...

    forged pistons cost loads and if your gonna make it fast and be able to crank up boost get them you dont need to touch the head really unless you wanna go sick and get turbo cams but im not they do fuck all any how on forged just crank it up

    when gettin forged pistons do u need to get the forged pistons and steel con rod set? or is it advised to ? cos cituning do the set for £895 and to me that isnt much to spend to insure ur engine will last

    well its up to you getting that the engine will be sweet and tbh did not no cituning did it at that price thats good got mine from usa 790 the lot so not far of that if your gonna do it like propperly get a 1.9 of gmc head gasket a t25 or as i was thinking after this thread a t28 ebay fr do turbo manifolds with external waste gates up to you ...

    im aiming for what eva i can get ...going the whole hog ill not no till its on the rollers . drove m8s evo loads thats 340 ... all im worried about now tbh is drive shafts and gear boxes ill end up brakeing the fuckers like got a paddle clutch but that wont help when i 100 driveshafts down .

    hahaha fun read... lost my gf over my saxo turbo lol. i didnt mind to much untill she came around to try smash it up :O thats prob the only time ive ever been angry in my life! no1 messes with the sax!

    forged is 1200 fitted from pug1off ill be getting mine dont in jan. geting 480cc injectors, 1.5 bar mapsensor, emerald ecu fitted and tuned end of october. will just run about 8 or 9 psi for now. really wanna get 200bhp out of my 90bhp vtr...this will all be on my decomp plate untill i can afford to forge it. then up goes the boost

    m8 get a vts engine if its 1200 fitted for vtr i think you will be well happy vts forge can hit 270 i would ges quite cheap im after what ever it puts out but im looking ad l.s.diff now ... anyone want a part ex on the girlfriend low millage lol

    waste of time mate. the vtr actualy works better with the turbo so iv herd. if you forge you vts and only get tht then your doing something wrong. pug1off said to me if i get them to fit my forged pistons and get the t25 turbo i can run up to 300bhp if i can keep it on the road. if you doing it all vtr or vts dosent matter they both will amazy you

    what do you mean? with my set up pug1off said that they can give me 220 bhp but thats on a decomp plate so i sed i only want it up to 200 if i can. it will be geting done end of october so ill se what i get when its done

    i got a vts and to get it to like 250bhp say ( not sayin im aimin at that ) wuld that be possible with forged pistons and a turbo setup just by winding boost up or wuld i need loads more work done to teh engine?

    with standalone ecu, bigger injectors, say sotin like t25 turbo then yea just turn the boost up. i think you could do 250 easy if you do it all right

    You carnt help but drive like a twat. Once the pedle is down and boost kicks in you have to have the will power of a 1000 men just to let off and change gear. Be aware that turbo is a drug. And there is no medication for it.
