whats the best hight for it to be so it looks nice but is also practical for an everyday drive (needs to get over speed bumps well) also if anyone has a pic with a decent ride hight and vtr wheels please post

for a cross between look and practicality , i'd say 40mm. scrapes only over bumps with a full car with me. pics in my prog thred

50mm, dont have problems with speed bumps as i go over a shit load every day on the drive to college. may scrap the lower strut brace if i had one fitted.

d0 u recon it would make much mor difference if the back was 60 and the frount was 50?

    if 50mm dont scrape?

ive lowered both saxo's ive owned, 50mm front and 60mm back.

i dont think ive ever scrapped my bumper.

is that pic u posted 60 at the back? and how did u have you torsion bars done as there is 2 methods soposedly?
  8. #8
    it is mate.

both where done by taking the torsion bars out, setting arms to desired height then resetting torsion bar's....

currently rebuild a rear beam, and its a right ole cunt

So what are we saying looks good and practical ??
Front and back lowering - im also interested in this
  13. #13
i'm down -80mm, And it rarely scraps speed bumps. Just the downpipe sometimes.

Thought i'd add that so you know you could go lower than -40mm and not scrape.

seems way too low for the bumps in my area aha.
How much do 40mm loweringsprings set you back??

80 quid ish, then 100-200 to adjust rear bar. And the bumps here are massivvvvve to.
