i tried the search button but couldnt find what i was looking for but basically for the first few mins of driving the brakes are really spoungey then they firm right up and are staying on any ideas? pads look ok and there is fluid the pedal is about half an inch too low

come on guys brake lights are stuck on too and police pulled me over gotta get it sorted

air lock in the fluid? bleed the breaks could be a possibility tbh

Fresh fluid and bleeding it a couple of times would be an idea.

Brake lights stuck on is probably the switch on the brake pedal stuck closed. May need to be replaced.

thanks guys, had a look the brake pedal is about half an inch further down than it should be hense why the lights were staying on (nothing to press the switch in) so i've wedged something inthere for now so the brake lights work maybe its just the pedal that needs adjusting???

    any ideas?

has the linkage on the bulkhead been overadjusted to try and compensate for poor brakes at any time, or the locknuts come loose on the threaded bar and unwound itself?

have a look under the black plastic cover on the bulkhead over the rod that leads to the master cylinder
