#2i had the same problem mate, just rub the primer down, and coat the area again, eventually it will fill in the cracks1 user thanked this post:

#3Get some thinners & a rag wipe over the wheels thoroughly this will get rid of any pollutants that are stopping the primer adhering to the wheels.

#5they have been painted before prob and the paint is reacting
wash wheels off with a celly thinner should remove all the old paint
(spray cans) and leave the original -
#7then its probably not that, just an idea...

#8its silicone / grease reacting with the paint imo

#9You may need to worm the primer up in hot water if is spray can bud.......also 1st coat put it on very lightly......Quote:im refurbing my wheels ive rubbed the laquer off so there is no shiny bits washed them and dried them put a thin coat of primer on and its cracked like crazy paving any suggestions what is causing this

#10i'd say that,
really to give them a real good clean make sure you don't have anything like WD40 or back to black around them when spraying as they are full of silicone,
try getting a scotch pad and tat rag to clean them.
