Turboing my V10 Saxo

  1. #1
hai guyz!! I am thinking of turboing my v10 do you think I will need a decompression plate and bigger injectors? what management should I use? you know what power I should with and a normal 1.1 manifold and 25psi?

how many head gaskets should I use? what about compression should I get a 9mm decompression plate? throttle bodies aswell? would I need a turbo off a truck?

here is a pic of the engine thats in ma saxo now

  2. #2
Wow gav, that engine is proper wack!!!! You should definately turbo it as it will make girls touch your cock!!!!!
  3. #3
That engine is the works!!! Is a sculpture, doesn't belong in a car
  4. #4
really wow I will have to ad a supercharger to it aswell its wikid aint it!

do you know how much it would cost? and what power I can expect?
  5. #5
Have a search, this question is asked daily mate.

This has been done many times before mate.

You need a split throttle cable n thats it, otherwise its an easy job.

What ECU u using? 1.1 or deisal? Deisal has more torque on the ECU btw.
  6. #6
put a vts in it instead.
  7. #7
really a diesel ecu will be better means I can run 40psi then wo that will be phat ye bro?

would it make any difference if I ran vtr cam in it?
  8. #8
    someones been to oxford street?

ps if you ask them there they will sell you the ferrari F1 chassis for about 200,000 incl delivery

    doesn't include the engine though
  9. #9
Noobs! Put a VTR lump in, they're mega torquey.
  10. #10
your best bet would turbo/supercharge/throttle/nos it, you can save on the remap by drilling holes in your boost pipe and using shell optimax mixed with CHIP fat
  11. #11
ever thought bout Nos to, get the proper wwwhhhhaaammm baanngg banng n all that!!
  12. #12
Dont forget to add a supersprint exhaust and raceland with green-
  13. #13
    electric supercharger ftw yo!!!!

god I hate it when people spoil good threads with daft comments
  15. #15
What about those 25bhp mod chips? Bare cheap y0!
  16. #16
ill probably be the only one with a normal resonse....

check out how the tb's are oval and not round.....tis the way forward.
  17. #17
slam it on some vts wheels...
    but on the other hand;
d u think a can keep up with ma m8s 1.4 206??!!!????!!!??? he fkn rapes me up t about 120 bt then ma saxo keeps goin with da top end powwwaaa
  18. #18
i did notice that danny! why?

I just noticed the cable ties as well, prob £10 a piece from ferri

does it make a difference if I port and polished my inlets as pictured with an angle grinder? also i put a ferrari rocker cover on mate said makes enigne stiffer 600% lowering the coa aswell?

would i need to run 10cc injectors?
  21. #21
Youd have to horn the throttle body too, its swishes up the air like a turbo.

this man is expressing his views about this engine for you:

there are more and more superbikes that are using elliptical throttle bodies...
they say you get better midrange and they flow much much more....
im not gonna argue with them if you see these type of boddies on ducatti's and f1 engines lol
  23. #23
dont use an angle grinder use a dremel

Ditch that engine for a vtr = more torques innit bra !
  24. #24
fair point danny. carnt say i would want to argie with them either!lol
  25. #25
i think this thread is immature and pathetic... why bother with a V10 when you can have a eurofighter jet engine in the boot?!
  26. #26
danny have you seen the yamaha varible inlet track on the new r1/r6 bodies.

@ full throttle the inlet trumpet shortens the higer up the rev range it goes to help with low mid range at low rpm but then give you the up top power of shorter ones.

    clever.
  27. #27
8v it they have more tourqe than the 16v's let alone a 32v

yes i have mate. jus like the carbs on performance bikes where they have 2 butterflys on each tb. but obviously much newer design.
  29. #29
u can get a chip on ebay for a 5er that adds 500bhp, gd value for money that
  30. #30
    1 ) needs lowering

    2) is you on your mumz insurance, or your own?
do you need to tell them before you slap a turbo! on it?!
  31. #31
also get a cherry bomb on it for added sound
  32. #32
    Thats really in a Saxo?

    I am in utter shock.

    HAHAHAHa

    Nice Enginee
  34. #34
    ^^^^ Serious?

Put a diesel 'box on it for true 60 in second action
  35. #35
Need to speak to Gina G.

Can either modify a standard manifold, or buy one off DP, but there's are a bit expensive, so modify a standard one, gaffa tape a flange to it and then bolt your turbo to that, should do the trick.

Just in case any n00bs think i'm being serious, im not
  36. #36
im not sure it would fit or you would get much out of that engine . i would cut to large holes either side of your seats get you and a m8 put your legs through and run like fuck. loads more torque yabba dabba do
  37. #37
wtf, this is an f1 engine, it would rip the car in half if it ever worked, also an engine likethis would last less than 1000 miles
  38. #38
also ive been told by the "doc" that if I made the manifold from 10 1.1 manifolds welded together with an overhead turbo I would lower the coa and could run 40psi and make another 10bhp?

It's already in the car, and the car hasn't ripped in half (dunno where that idea came from, cause it wouldnt...) and it's obviously not powerful enough...

Sophia, if you did that, you'd have to watch out for damage.

Way off the mark! Diesel manifolds are needed as they are stronger because they have to handle all that torque!

There almost oval! If you look close there matched to shape of the inlet ports!
  43. #43
You couldn't even afford a single washer for that engine.
  44. #44
will it run better on 708s or ph3s?
  45. #45
Ryan I think it will run better on reground vtr cam! also heard it has extra zest with some man fat in there to
  46. #46
    that is savage!!
  47. #47
notice danny how the throttle bodie has an oval shape so the air on the outside of the bodie flow faster to improve cylinder filling
