decat???

   can you decat a mk2 vtr without replacing the manifold. can you buy a decat pipe like you can for the mk1 or do you have to buy a new manifold that joins straight to your centre section.

   Pretty sure you cant buy a de-cat pipe mate as the cat is in the manifold as you know.
   
   You could get a mk1 downpipe from a mk1 manifold and use that but it will foul on your oil filter as you have the later engine (like me) and so that would need to be re-located.
   
   I managed to source a Janspeed 4-1 with sports cat in it for cheap so thats what i am using with my supersprint race system. Sounds awesome.

   cant get a de-cat pipe mate, best bet is to get a mani. Other option as dan said is to get a mk1 downpipe and relocate the oil filter.
   
   I chose just to get a new mani. pops like a biatch now

   are there any manifold you can get without relocating the oil filter. iv heard kam racing have one but not sure which one it is. iv just got a standard system at the mo so im starting at mani and working way bk unless i see a full system i fancy,

   ye its decatted. currently running a supersprint race centre and magnex backbox. however ive just boight a ashley backbox to replace the restrictive magnex.
