Hey guys i'm in the process of sopurcing parts for a VTS conversion wanna kepp my cost low, but dont wanna be cheap. Want the job done right. Just wanna know what is the difference between and VTS Radiator and Fan and a VTR radiator and Fan.

Also I'd like the same answered about the Alternator and power steering on both cars also

    I just dont see any

As I dont wanna buy anything if I dont really need it.

    Thanks in advance

Youll be alot better off with the VTS rad, the vtr one will allow the engine to run alittle higher than it should.

    Alternator will be the same
    PAS will be the same.

Anyone else on this, who has gone through this while doing a VTS conversion, also is the VTS radiator just fit in my VTR, or is there any chopping and changing anything else

    Nissens rad ftw!

Can pick em up cheap second hand, cools twice as good as standard and weighs about half as much!

If you have housing for double fan, but only have one fan in it then its fine.

If its a single fan that ahs the 2 clips and a bolt mount, then you will have to either find away of mounting this to a VTS rad, or just buy a VTS fan housing.

take my advice, fit a vts rad!!! you can get them £10 second hand

you will constantly overheat in traffic even with a working fan.

ive spent the last 2 months using a vtr rad with the heaters on inside the car to keep engine temp down.

when the car is travelling at speeds of upwards of 40mph there is enough cold air hitting the vtr rad to keep the temp down providing your in 5th gear maintaining a steady speed and not working the engine hard

Depends what VTR hes got mind, lots of later VTRs came with S rads and front mounted fan setups.

Alternators are slightly different, they charge at different Ampere ratings dependent on the engine. They also have different wiring setups, some use an O ring others use a twin wire clip.

    PAS is the same
