After removing the old gear knob i found that i haven't got the white plastic sleeve that is required, anyone know where you can buy one from or does the Ebay gear knob have one inside it?.

If your gear knob has been changed to an aftermarket one, then the plastic sleeve has be pulled off.

If you then want to go back to standard, the best way to do it is to buy a new/replacement gearstick with the sleeve in place.

    Or, what I've done.

Use a plastic sleeve from an aftermarket gearstick. And a few dabs of glue.

just wrap the gear stick with insulation tape to build up the thickness of it, then jam the knob on it. mine hasnt moved/twisted since i put it on (year ago)

You 'LEGEND', did this earlier before i went out and works a treat, put about 2-3 inch of tape down the stick and wrapped it round a few times and then push down the gear knob and it holds firmly, thankyou .
