set fire to them and burn them out, rubber melts and they come out easy. its just getting new ones pressed in

i bought 2 ball joints, took off the 2 lower arms and went to the nearest garage and asked them to press out the old and press in the new. cost a fiver iirc.

Should be able to smash them out with a hammer by hitting the stud tbh. Bit of a fiddle getting the new ones in - can always use a bit of oil to ease them in though. Press them in with a press or socket and vice - job done.

    they are metal?

Get old ones pressed out and new ones pressed in.
Pointless dicking about attempting to smash them out as you will fail, plus you need the new ones pressed in anyway.

Take them to a kwik fit or any car garage should have a press.
Give someone a fiver to do them, or ask if you can do it yourself.
