  2. #2
haha hummm i duno really i seen some mk2 saxos with them and they look ok
  3. #3
look gay as ... bonnet bras are shit full stop.
  4. #4
they were designed for a reason but have become more of a fashion accessory now. Each to their own though.
  5. #5
Never really liked them, heard some scratch the paint? Not sure about that, I know it's for stone chip prevention.

I don't really like the look, think it looks shit, out of place, however, some can pull it of, ‘dan-subtle's’ furio did it quite well.

I wouldn't get one for the look though, function over style for bonnet bras.

    Look gay.

    yes and every other car!
  11. #11
personally I'd rather pay for a respray of the bonnet every few years if i was that anal about the paint.
  12. #12
on some its passable but most look s**t
  13. #13
Not a fan but its personal preference i guess!

its not for looks though, its functional, stops stone chips so it doesnt matter what it looks like.

Just a shame they are made so poorly, i bought one and it scratched my bonnet alot, and yes it was fitted to a clean (freshly polished car)

Would never bother buying one again. Clear paint protection film ftw

We live in the UK ffs, we have motorways and A roads, we're not an un-developed European county where the roads consist of rubble and gravel tracks.

If you use one in this country without valid reason, you're a cock and you're car looks the same

    /end rant!

PS: It probs wouldn't look as bad if they matched the colour of the car, but they don't! :|
  17. #17
They only look good on mk1's imo...

never liked them tbh...but they are growing on me

I had one to protect my 3k paintjob.

And yes we have A roads etc but there are still bits on the road getting thrown up by other vehicles which can cause nasty paint chips.

Id rather pay for a bonnet respray once a year than drive around looking like such a pleb with one fitted

Although I wouldnt paint my bonnet either as i really cant be arsed to worry about 'mint freshly waxed paint'
  21. #21
    fooking awful imo
  22. #22
I laugh when i see them, theyre as bad as lexus lights.

They dont do a hole lot fo agood for preventing stone chips either. All the cars ive owned enevr have stone chips round that area . Current car has a few but a bonnet bra wouldnt do anything, and thats done 116k miles of uk roads. If i believed they helped, id have to get one that covers every panal of the car.

there ok on sum cars but nt saxo's lol

well i love mine and it's staying on, no matter what anyone thinks. I drive 64 miles a day 5 days a week and got a shed load of stone chips on my bonnet around the grill area. I had the stone chips sorted and wanted a bra to protect the bonnet as i knew it would happen again. It hasn't scratched my bonnet either so i'm pretty happy. Buff it up every weekend with leather cleaner and job's a good 'un

I actually like these, i think these look smart on the right car

couldnt think of a worst modification to make your car look 100% wank

Marcus seriously why are you concerned about what car i drive and how much money i spend???

Ive got a saxo as a 2nd car because i wanted one, it does about 20 miles a week, its my toy.

Why not? Alot of people have "wasted" thousands more just to make their car a little faster than other so why not spend a lesser amount (in this case 3k) to get a car looking immaculate?

Totally depends on the colour of car.

Also some people actually use em for the purpose they were created which is to get from A2B without chips, this could also be done using tape but that looks plain shit!
