ABS

  1. #1
Was driving like a bit of an idiot, could have gone wrong but luckily didn't - learnt my lesson especially as one of the girls in the car was crying .

Back on question - my 1.1 Desire '51 Plate doesn't have ABS.

    - How easy is it to fit?
    - How much would it cost?

I can imagine it would be easier and cheaper to fit if the car could have ABS as an add-on from new, this the case with Saxos?

    Cheers in Advance

its a lot of work and money to fit abs man

also moved to the brakes section

I thought it'd only be something to do with the ECU? Obviously not

you would need to have the ecu prgrammed most likely but it also about fitting abs sensors aswell as abs driveshafts, lot of work as said.

Just learn how to use the brakes, pump the brakes if you need to stop in an emergency, you can also get better braking by fitting some decent pads

pred he wont have the pump in the lines

    hed need

    new 2 port mc
lines from mc to abs ecu
    the ecu/pump unit itself
lines for the front of the car
and lines from abs to the ecu
then hed need new shafts and sensors up front
and either a disc or a late model 1.4 drum beam so he can fit the sensors in the back
aswell as all the wiring and setting up
