   can i stick sticky vinal under bonnet in the engine bay or will it melt?

   i think it would melt, wherever you put it in the engine bay
   
   plus, if you do chance it and it does melt, it will be a serious b****rd to clean off

   on the underside of the bonnet to neaten in up as i have taken off the foam

   could melt and drip onto some seroius components aswell and cost you ££££
   
   could go on throttle cable which could be a bit dodgy

   you can get bay dress kits which are just plates of schrome that stick on if your into your shinny things

   Hmmm i have some opie oil vinyls on the under side of my bonnet have been there for about a year with no problems.

    some companys do vinyl componets for your car, inc rocker cover but hey must be sent to them and are shrink moulded to the component, obvs heat proof so diy =no but it is available at a cost, have seen some 8v rocker covers covered in smiles etc, but i imagine it wont be cheap + high maintenance

    id say if its a proper pice of kit that is meant for it and you really want them, then go for it but i would chance it with a dodgy diy bit
