painted the front end of my vtr

   my vtr is black but the front ednd needed painted as my wing bumper was green. so as i dont work in a garrage anymore i used a m8s for the weekend and i done the usual fixed dents and scratches then primered and painted it. the whole thing has reacted. im Gutted.

   i know the feelin m8, done my wing mirrors earlyer , the paint reacted and gone all orange peeled lol

   as its jst a solid 2k im gonna try flatten and polish it 2moro but i dunno it might be a bit 2 bad but its worth a try. repairing cars for years and its the worst reaction iv seen

   i didnt have much choice as i just wanted it all the same colour. could be anything silicons.but if i have to paint it again ill barcoat it first

   deffinatly needs resprayed now. also unmasked windscreen and a theres a huge crack.i cant think of how that happend

   Orange peel is not a reaction its the way the paint is applied to the panel...
   
   Also if you had silocone on the panels you would get loads of dots where the paint wont sit on.. hard to explain but if you got pictures up it would be easier for us to help you identify the problem...

    have you used wax on the panals, i work for a bodyshop and autogylm polish doesnt agree with the paint we use, spies heccker (sp) also did you prep properly? as in rubbing down the panals?

    yes i worked as a pannel beater/painter i think it has been somthing the previous owner has used

    paint crack up?? silicone holes?? pickle up in places???

    okay, so how did you prep the panels up???
    
    what work is normally done where you painted it??

    flattened pannels cleaned with pannel wipe a few times tac ragged then painted

    did you notice any problems in the primer??? possible your gun was contaminated??

    non at all but bumper came out great

    then it must be the other panels, give them a solid clean with degreaser - 3 to 4 wash downs and then prime and check for any problems before you paint??
