whats the diffrence

   can any one tell me the diffrence between the saxo vtr lump eg black silver and grey ?????

   umm...the colour.hehe
   
   The earlier engines had 90bhp and the later one 98.
   
   You can tell the difference by checking how many plugs the ecu has going into it.
   
   3 plugs = 98bhp
   1 plug = 90bhp
   
   
   i think...someone correct me if i'm wrong.

   Not all silver/grey tops were mk2 though.
   
   The black top has a few different features. Do a search as Im sure this has been asked before.

   not sure about the black tops, but there are 3 types of silver top
   
   my mate has an r plate 1998 car with a silver top moter, it has HT leads going to the plugs
   
   i have an s plate 1998 car with a silver top motor, without the HT leads, has a coil pack instead.
   
   the you get the 98bhp silver top engines LOL
